Turret Punching | CNC Turret Punching

Turret Punching or the CNC punching is the process of using a machine to press a shape through a metal sheet with a die. Earlier it was done on presses using tailor made punches and dies. Now turret punching is more common, where the machine houses tools in a revolving indexed turret, and uses pneumatic/ hydraulic power to press the shape with enough cutting force.

Features: Easy repeatability of cutting designs, not much of burrs in cutting, can cut thin metal sheets, suitable for short runs, cutting range restricted by tool sizes (available or can be made).

Typical parts: Any flat part of thickness 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm (in steel), 2.0 mm (in stainless steel), 2.0 mm (in stainless steel), 4.0 mm (in aluminum), with 0.1 to 0.5 mm dimensional tolerance depending on thickness.

Max. part size: 1500 mm length x 2440 mm width x thickness 3 mm (in steel), 2 mm (in stainless steel), 4 mm (in aluminum).

(Note: For parts outside this size range, we will send offers within 5 working days.)
