Roto Molding or Rotational Molding

<!--[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 <![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]--> Roto-molding or Rotational Molding is a process for making huge shaped objects with thin walls from materials such as pulverized LLDPE, LDPE, PE and other thermo plastics materials are charged into a feeder, rotated in all axis through rotary movement of the shell shaped die, heated universally with uniform spread of heat, thereby making the fused material to form a layer of wall stuck to the periphery of the pattern or shell mold.

Features: Custom tooling needed, large articles can be made with comparably less tool costs than injection molding. Very intricate parts with tolerances lesser than +/- (1-5) mm cannot be made in rotational molding process.

Typical parts: water tanks, fuel tanks, bins, wheel barrow carriers, play items such as slide, boats, lifebuoys etc. Attempts are made to make luminaries using transparent heat resistant materials such as Polycarbonate, clear PP etc.

Max. part size: 12” dia to 2 meter dia, max, height 120”.

Note: For parts made by this process, we will send offers within 5 working days.
