Blow molding or Blow Moulding is a process for forming objects from plastics, by heating the molding material to a semi-fluid state, and blowing it outwards onto mold walls using compressed air. It is used when we need thin parts, with high accuracy, intricate details and high productivity. Blow molding needs tooling (cavity molds) to achieve the desired component.

Features: Custom tooling needed, precise dimensions and details, only for plastics, suitable normally for long runs only.

Typical parts: Most 3 dimensional parts, such as bottles, cans, jars, etc., with 3 mm max. wall thickness (normal), with 0.1 to 0.3 mm dimensional tolerance depending on dimensions.

Max. part size: 20 litres (by volume).
